On the Effectiveness of the Use of Speech Techniques of Persuasion in the Budget Message of the Presidents of the Republic of Korea

The paper analyzes the persuasive statements in the budget messages of South Korean presidents sent to the Parliament. Efficiency, eloquent power of the corresponding texts is considered by the authors as persuasive elements. The prime attention in the article is paid to the illocutive power of persuasive speech techniques in the speeches of the presidents of the Republic of Korea.
