On F0 Declination Studies: History and Nature of the Phenomenon

Abstract

The article is devoted to the history of the study of declination in speech since its first references in scientific literature. The article offers a description of some approaches to measuring and analyzing F0 declination. The two most common interpretations of this phenomenon are described, the physiological one and the psychological one.
