Abstract

The article examines how the concepts of "sovereignty" and "human rights" are correlated, according to Chinese researchers and politicians, what factors influenced the fact that the principle of "sovereignty" is more important in China than "human rights" and what changes this principle is undergoing at present. The author comes to the conclusion that with increasing involvement in international political and economic processes, it is more difficult for China to strictly adhere to the principle of non-interference in the affairs of other States and the rule of sovereignty. China’s approach becomes more pragmatic and flexible.
