Abstract

The article attempts to explore the transformation of Ostpolitik of Germany from 1991 to 1994 based on the materials of German Ministry of foreign affairs. The author uses the event-analysis of German important diplomatic steps for the consideration of the forms and results of German political influence establishment at the territory of former Socialist block. The paper explores the process of German embedding in the regional system of Eastern Europe on the example of «Weimar Triangle». The article researches the reasons and dynamics of the decrease of importance of the Russian factor in the relations between Germany and former Soviet republics. Special attention is paid to the establishment and dynamic deepening of cooperation in political-military sphere between Germany and Baltic states. In this regard the article takes into account regional historical significance in German foreign policy. The article covers common and distinctive for Ukraine and Georgia as focused German partners features of political dialog with newly emerged states in the CIS space. The author constructs the model of the phased establishment and development of political interaction between Germany and the states at the Post-Socialist space, based on the results of the research.
