Abstract

The article shows that Armenian scientists, science, research institutes, scientific and production associations, development organizations and industry of Soviet Armenia took a significant part in the space industry of the USSR and in the exploration of outer space. One of the leading organizations for space exploration was the Academy of Sciences of the Armenian SSR. In the republic, developments were carried out to create automatic orbital astrophysical observatories for scientific research on artificial satellites and space rockets, to create space electroactive engines, space observation systems, ultra-long-range space communications, precision equipment for measuring the orbital parameters of artificial Earth satellites, etc.
