Abstract

The Human dimension of artistic creativity is understood by the author as the organic nature of the latest art works for a person's life, for his consciousness and psyche. In order to more correctly assess what among modern creative practices is organic for a modern person, the concept of the vitality of art, innovative for the philosophy of art and philosophical anthropology, is introduced and developed. The importance of such a view is extremely important: after all, the classical concept of catharsis cannot always be used to assess the height of modern works of art. The works demonstrating the existential impasse, the processes of dehumanization, “the cry and the cry of the strangled flesh” (T. Adorno) hurt a person to the utmost. The hypothesis of the author of the article is that today a more accurate assessment of the work is the concept of the vitality of art, which in its scope exceeds the concept of catharsis. A comprehensive analysis of the concept of the vitality of art, a new look at the stimuli of contemporary creativity, undertaken by the author, will help answer the question: why is it vital for a person today that such art, demonstrating doom, oppression, decay, is vital. That is, art that critics often try to hastily classify as inhumane. It is shown that the factors that complicate the purpose of Art are the natural environment for the existence of both creativity itself and a person in the modern world. Art still creates and gives a person the opportunity to coincide with himself with the breadth of his own view, demonstrating the power of artistic creativity as the greatest area of intrinsically valuable spiritual creativity.
