Аннотация

Метафоры и другие выражения с небуквальным значением изучаются в рамках различных направлений лингвистики, и конкурирующие подходы зачастую предлагают противоположные взгляды на их роль в языке и мышлении и различные аспекты их использования и интерпретации. Некоторые из этих утверждений могут быть проверены экспериментально. В данной статье представлены два эксперимента на материале русского языка, в которых сравниваются особенности чтения выражений с буквальным и небуквальным значением. Полученные результаты могут быть интересны как для тестирования различных подходов к метафоре, так и для понимания природы единиц ментального лексикона и стратегий синтаксического анализа.
