География религии в России и за рубежом: история развития и новые вызовы

В статье «Восток и восточные культуры», вышедшей в 1931 г., один из крупнейших географов своего времени Альфред Геттнер отмечал, что «география религии – наиболее сложное и наиболее “деликатное” из географических изысканий». Действительно, вряд ли среди различных направлений географической науки можно найти еще одно, столь же глубоко вторгающееся в сугубо индивидуальную сферу человеческого бытия. Это требует от географии религии не только весьма трепетного отношения к методам сбора столь ценной и получаемой зачастую весьма непросто информации, но и еще большего внимания к интерпретации полученных сведений. В данной работе показано, что, начиная со времени своего возникновения, география религии в своем развитии прошла несколько этапов – досекулярный, квазисекулярный, секулярный и постсекулярный. Для каждого из них было характерно преобладание того или иного направления исследований в зависимости от числа и баланса анализируемых уровней в рамках расширенной бохумской модели (уровни видимых индикаторов, идеологический и социальный), а также количества и направленности изучаемых связей между ними («бессвязность», одно- и разнонаправленные связи). В настоящее время в России в частности и в мире в целом преобладающим направлением географических исследований религии на мега-, макро- и мезоуровнях является синтетический подход секулярного этапа. В то же время увеличивается число исследований индивидуального религиозного опыта и опыта малых групп на основе теоретического и методического аппарата соответствующего постсекулярного подхода.
