Incoherence as a Feature of a Poetic Text (On the Interpretation of the Figurative System of O. Mandelstam)

As our analysis has shown, one of the dominant features of O. Mandelstamʼs poetics is the orientation towards darkening incoherence. In the article, the types and sources of his incoherences are revealed; from the perspective of constructed typology, the article explain a number of dark places in the poetʼs texts. The main method of implementing the mentioned orientation should be considered a metaphor, which Mandelstam called heraclitic. The latter, judging by the context, is a verbal image that is essentially, up to the point of hermetical closedness darkened by the use of a number of special means; this complex technique turns the text into an enigma designed to appeal to the reader's heuristic abilities.

2	Общеизвестен тот факт, что начиная с определенного периода в текстах О. Мандельштама (далее ОМ) появляются “необычные словосочетанияˮ [1, с. 51] и, соответственно, темные места, с трудом поддающиеся истолкованию. Естественным представляется предположение о том, что: 1) одной из доминант поэтики ОМ является установка на затемняющую инкогерентность; 2) выявление типовых источников и основных видов инкогерентности приведет к созданию аналитической платформы, которая не только покажет и подскажет векторы возможных толкований темных мест поэтического текста, но и обеспечит системный подход к их пояснению.

4	Под когерентностью [лат. cohaerens ‘взаимосвязанный’] принято понимать грамматическую и семантическую согласованность частей текста, в частности фраз, словосочетаний и, на “микроуровнеˮ, отдельных слов¹. В трактате Исидора Севильского читаем: “Oratio dicta, quasi oris ratio [...]. Est autem oratio contextus verborum cum sensu. Contextus autem sine sensu non est oratio, quia non est oris ratioˮ ‘Речь произносимая подобна устам разума […]. Речь есть слов сплетенье со смыслом; текст без смысла не есть речь, ибо он не является гласом разума’ [3, с. 12]. За таким представлением о языке стоит sensus communis, δόξα, букв. ‘общее мнение’², в изначальном смысле – мнение “обычного человека (the ordinary man)ˮ [4, с. 2], с позиции здравого смысла (а потому зачастую небезосновательно, см. раздел 6) скептически оценивающее тексты с ослабленной и даже, что присуще стилистическому герметизму, нулевой когерентностью, сводящей смысл и понятность (ясность) речи к минимуму, если не ad nihilum.	1. 5	Чтобы выявить сферу действия категории неясности, подразделим стилевые техники на те, которые: 1) не допускают неясности: а) научный стиль, который должен быть понятен для специалиста; б) деловой, неясность которого служит почвой для инотолкований; в) публицистический и разговорный, рассчитанные на sensum communem “обычного человекаˮ, т.е. избегают неясности; 2) допускают неясность: это художественная, в частности поэтическая речь, где категория неясности обретает эстетическую значимость.
6	Внутри категории непонимания целесообразно различать: 1) непонятность (неясность, темноту) текста, для адресата очевидную и им осознанную: Он опыт из лепета лепит И лепет из опыта пьет; 2) недопонимание, когда произведение понято не до конца: а) подтекст (напр., интертекстуальный намек) не воспринят; б) словесный образ принят буквально, гипостазирован или вовсе не замечен. В случае (2) следует говорить о кажущейся ясности.
7	Г. Фридрих, характеризуя базисные установки (“предикатыˮ) поэзии, утверждает: “Есть высшие предикаты – гармония, эвфония. Современный конфликт между языком и содержанием решается, безусловно, в пользу первого [...]. Вербальная магия не запрещает ради эффекта околдования разбить, распылить мир на фрагменты. Темнота, инкогерентность становятся предпосылками лирической суггестииˮ [5, с. 34]. Между тем, было бы упрощением вопроса полагать, что темнота и инкогерентность текста являются исключительно результатом “[…] капризов сюрреалистического воображения, которое отдано в безраздельную власть самых случайных созвучий […]ˮ [6, с. 7]. Думается, что инкогерентность нельзя сводить к случайности, ее источники – к “созвучиямˮ, и то, и другое – к стихотворной речи.
