Abstract

In this paper, we observe the typical difficulties of the lexicographical representation of polysemantic words with the same root in a dictionary of an active type. We propose possible solution of the problems in accordance with the theoretical concepts of an active type dictionary (the system principle, the integrality principle and the principle of the user’s convenience) by the case of the entries ZAKRYVAT’, ZAKRYVAT’SA, ZAKRYTIE written by the author for the Active Dictionary of Russian Language. We demonstrate a structure of the polysemy for each word, give a brief comment on the sequence of lexemes, and discuss a question of the symmetrization of the descriptions. The entries are appropriately compared with the same entries in traditional dictionaries. The description is based on the National Corpus of Russian language (www.ruscorpora.ru).
