Abstract

The article examines the coverage of the first year of the Greek Revolution in the Flemish oldest newspaper «Gazette van Gend». By publishing the materials of the European, as well as Russian and Ottoman press in European languages, the newspaper informed its readers in Flanders in detail of the struggle of the Greeks for their independence and of diplomatic disputes around the «Greek question».
