Abstract

The protective ability of the volatile inhibitor IFHAN-114 in the corrosion of the models of macrogalvanic pairs steel / brass, steel / copper, copper / brass under conditions simulating the atmosphere of livestock premises has been studied. The content of CO , NH 2 3 and H S (corrosion stimulators of the (CS)) was 0.2-0.6 vol.%, (20-60) mg / m3 and (10-30) mg / m3, respectively The ability of IFHAN- 2 114 to suppress the generation of the Faraday current by galvanic pairs models is investigated. It is shown that in the absence of an inhibitor, the surface of metals forming galvanic pairs undergoes by intensive pitting and ulcer corrosion in the presence of one, two or three CS simultaneously. The introduction of IFHAN-114 into the gas phase completely suppresses the local corrosion of the metals composing the galvanic pairs in most cases and reduces the rate of their general corrosion by 2-5 times, which is uniform in the presence of the volatile corrosion inhibitors. The inhibitor introduced into the 0.1 M NaCl solution significantly suppresses the current density generated by the galvanic pairs of steel / brass, copper / brass models. But this effect manifests itself only after 200 min of the stay of the galvanic pairs in the corrosive environment.
