Abstract

In the technologies presented, methods of culture isolated tissue allowing rapid creation and propagation of sugar beet plants with improved or new traits are reflected. It has been shown that the suggested original schema of mass reproduction and in vitro deposition of elite plants-components of highly productive hybrids can be used to obtain seeds of improved quality. The technology of selections' carrying out under abiotic stress conditions allows creation of sugar beet isogenic lines with high resistance to external environment abiotic factors (salinization, drought, soil acidity of bedrock). Influence of in vitro culture stressful conditions upon haploid cells of sugar beet ovules have enabled creation of doubled haploid lines (DH) with high homozygosity level and obtaining of qualitative seeds of highly productive hybrid components. The technologies developed on the basis of biotechnological methods are a priority and innovative direction of researches since application of the given developments in breeding process would promote obtaining of competitive hybrids with a complex of desirable useful traits.
