Abstract

The article discusses the principles of modern foreign policy and the global strategy of China in their connection with the ideological premises of traditional Chinese philosophy, culture and politics. As the author shows, the basis of the traditional Chinese worldview, including strategy, was the category of transformation (hua, and others), which claimed the compatibility, eventfulness of things, and the hidden continuity of polar values. From this premise flowed the idea of the existence of two dissimilar, but not separate world orders. Opposition of the subject and the outside world was not allowed. In this perspective, the historical significance of the ideal put forward by the Chinese leadership of the “common destiny of mankind” and the concept of the “new Celestial Empire” is examined, the parallels between Chinese and modern Western philosophy are noted.
