The article describes the services provided by engineering infrastructure facilities to the population of rural areas, notably the Siberian Federal District. On the basis of a comparative analysis, the author shows how the volume of services provided is influenced by such factors as income and effective demand of the population, and the financial results of the local agricultural organizations' activities. The role of public-private partnership in the development of engineering infrastructure facili-ties in rural areas is also revealed.
