Abstract

The article examines the features of the presidential elections in Brazil in 2022, shows their specificity in the light of the split and polarization of society, which led to an electoral clash between representatives of two opposite political directions - the right-wing populist, the incumbent President Jair Bolsonaro and the center-left, ex-president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. The conclusions arising from the nature of the Brazilian election campaign are formulated.
