Political turbulence in Latin America: reasons and consequences

The Center for Political Studies of the Institute of Latin America of the Russian Academy of Sciences organized a scientific conference, dedicated to the mass protests in the region in the second half of 2019. The participants in the event analyzed reasons, development, and consequences of political turbulence which destabilized a number of states, regardless of the existing political regimes. This publication reflects the main content of reports, as well as the amendments made to them later.
