Abstract

The article provides a comparative analysis of migration risk management processes in European countries and in Russia, based on several case studies. The authors substantiate the risk paradigm as a scientific approach to the research of the migration situation on the territory of the host countries, analyze the concepts in the field of migration risk management, forms of social work with migrants, research strategies in the field of migration, and various methodological areas of work with migrants. The cases of Italy, Israel, Russia are considered (on the example of three subjects of the Russian Federation). There is a similarity of problems generated by migration risks in Russia and Europe. It was revealed that different approaches to migration management are used in different countries of Europe. European countries faced a set of these problems much earlier and began to regulate them earlier. At the same time, even now the measures taken against migrants cannot be considered sufficient and effective. In Russia, there are significant reserves in the development of migration policy, and the unrealized potential for preventing migration risks is high.
