Criminal liability for the murder of a pregnant woman in Russian legislation: formation, development and present state

The article examines the legislative regulation of criminal liability for the murder of a pregnant woman in Russian legislation since the XVII century. Analyzing the existing rules on combating the murder of a woman known to the perpetrator to be pregnant (item "g" of part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian), attempts to examine some concerning its design and application situation. The comparative legal analysis of the criminal legislation of a number of foreign states is carried out. The author makes a proposal to further improve the quality of the norm on responsibility for the crime under study: to exclude from it an indication of the knowledge of pregnancy
