Abstract

The article discusses the positive aspects and current problems of implementing the Rule of Law in the Russian Federation, including issues of legal nihilism, “voluntaristic” law-making, criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of legislation, and the balance of power levers ensuring “fairness” of the content of laws. The analysis of the most common in legal science proposals to improve the legislation of the Russian Federation is carried out. The conclusion is drawn about the need to ensure stable legislative regulation and the development of mechanisms for a more clear goal-setting and an atmosphere of debatability in the adoption of normative acts.
