Abstract

The paper presents system analysis of exiting concepts and approaches to the sustainability of economic objects. The basis of the application of dynamic computer simulation models for analyzing the sustainability of small enterprises is done. Defined a concept of sustainability for small enterprises, according to which, small enterprises should have a non-negative growth rate, and must be characterized by a certain set of performance indicators for their work with corresponding values in a given range. Methods for the formulation of a sustainable development strategy for small businesses are proposed, involving the use of decision-making algorithms, such as optimizing the distribution of profits, express analysis of key indicators and so on. The economic-mathematical and software tools are applied of two small firms, one of which focuses on production, the other relates to the provision of IT-services, and run business in the innovation sector of economy. The modification of computer simulation models for innovation small firm was developed. The modification of model includes the knowledge production function (of the Griliches–Pakes type), that is obtained by using of regression analysis methods.
