Abstract

In 2013 a marble base with а dedicatory inscription to Hermes and Herakles, found by chance on the territory of Anapa, was given to the Anapa Archaeological museum. The inscription says that king Aspourgos, son of king Asandrochos, made the dedication when Daseis, son of Greipos, was the gymnasiarches, in the year 303 of the Bosporan era (=AD 6/7). The dedication is the earliest inscription mentioning king Aspourgos.
