Abstract

The present article deals with the translation with commentary of the apocryphal Testament of Job, a symbolic story of the Judeo-Hellenistic era, which interprets and reexamines the Biblical Book of Job. In fact, a folkloristic text rich in didactic homilies and reflecting theological viewpoints specific to intertestamental era, substitutes the landmark of Wisdom Literature. The apocrypha, probably created in the environment of diaspora Judaism, contains a number of features, making it closer to the traditions of early Christianity.
