Ideology in Social Development of Russia: New View

The article substantiates the inherent importance of ideology for the social development of Russia both in historical dynamics and at the present stage. It is argued that ideology triggers the mechanism of transition from one institutional cycle to another, as its image of the future is associated with the rejection of the existing order. The ideology of socialism, which denies private property, has contributed to the entrenchment of ‘razdatok’ economy that has taken shape since the emergence of the Russian state. The ideology of Russian liberalism led to the replacement of the classical market by a quasimarket, the core of which preserved outdated distribution mechanisms. This model was as at the turn of the 19th – 20th centuries, and now, the cause of economic stagnation and acute social polarization. It is assumed that the ideology of new solidarism may become the next step in the worldview of Russian society, as it integrates the ideas of liberalism and socialism through the symbiosis of their practical base – the market and distribution. Solidarity in the new format is the principle of building a social system based on a balance of individual and common interests, in which its citizens have real subjectivity, equal opportunities, the right to elections and civil protests within the framework of a strong social state. The course based on the contractual ‘razdatok’ model, based on the ideology of new solidarity, will be an effective engine for overcoming the systemic crisis in Russia.
