Социология остановилась

Новый труд видного британского социолога К. Кэмпбелла (C. Campbell, Has Sociology Progressed? Reflections of an Accidental Academic. Cham: Palgrave Macmillan. 2019), ставит беспокоящий вопрос: прогрессирует лисоциология? Вывод его таков: за последние полвека сделано мало шагов вперед. Мои заметки показывают, что подразумевает Кэмпбелл под прогрессом и какие факторы ему мешают. Обсуждение сосредоточено на одном препятствии – политизация университетов. Это давнее течение идеологизации сегодня подкреплено еще одним процессом: идеологический надзор. А это позиция, противодействующая свободе слова и многообразию мнений. Судьба социологии зависит от того, смогут ли коллеги-социологи понять опасности такой линии и найти способ остановить её? Предложены определенные контрмеры.
