Abstract

The article is devoted to social, economic and humanitarian results of China's development during 40 years of Deng Xiaoping's reforms aimed at integrating planning and market mechanisms. These reforms have contributed to the rapid growth of living standards. The author underlines that development of China in these years was based on the achievements of development on the previous stages and the civilizational traditions of China has been taken into account. Successful industrialization made China one of the leaders of the world economy and created the basis for the subsequent implementation of the elements of the sixth technological mode. The structure of the workforce currently corresponds to the challenges of modern technological transformations. Reforms in the fields of education and health also directed to respond to the challenges of that time. Nevertheless, the problems of inequality and the fight against poverty still persist. These challenges can be called as the main ones for the Communist Party of China and the country in general.
