Ideological dimension of the Turkish policy in the twentieth and early twenty-first centuries

In the Ottoman Empire, the dominating ideology was Osmanism. In the later period of the Empire, the young Turk’s ideas created the prerequisites for Kemalism, the ideology of the Republican Turkey. After the Second World War, Kemalism started to evolve. Currently Turkey is in the process of searching for ideological approaches that can meet the new challenges of global and regional policy.
