Abstract

The article is devoted to books donated by Jan Baudouin de Courtenay to the Department of Slavic Literature of the Imperial Academy of Sciences Library from 1901 to 1913. These books are a thematic collection. It was composed by the scholar in the course of his research on the Slovenian language and its various dialects. These books have a number of formal features that allow attributing them as owner’s copies from the researcher’s library. Many books have dedicatory inscriptions and autographs that let supplementing available information about the life of the scholar, his scholarly trips, academic and personal relations with colleagues from all over the world.
