TWO FRENCH POEMS IN TREDIAKOVSKII’S COLLECTION VOYAGE TO THE ISLAND OF LOVE

In his Voyage to the Island of Love, V. K. Trediakovskii points out that two of his French poems have French sources, but does not provide the names of the authors of the texts referred to. The sources of the two poems, as established in the article, testify to his close attention to the French poetry, and make it possible to analyze the finer features of the assimilation and re-creation of the French texts by the Russian poet.
