Abstract

The article investigates the research of western specialists on China in the era of Xi Jinping. Although Western media and scientific community have gathered a huge amount of factual material on modern China, including Xi Jinping’s China, however western sinology has not produced a paradigm that could shed light on the inner workings of Chinese socialism. From our point of view, the mainstream narrative of “Authoritarian Resilience” has its inconsistencies.
