Abstract

From the standpoint of geographical approach the article analyzes the conditions, factors and prerequisites of China’s rise in the international community. The current positioning of the country in the key geoeconomic structures, the growth of its influence on the development of world political processes through the widespread use of "soft power" tools are evaluated. It is assumed that the implementation of China’s new strategy, which is being tested on the basis of the project "One belt, one road", will lead to a radical transformation of the world order structure.
