Abstract | The article examines the methodological prerequisites and results of in-depth interviews conducted in May 2020 in order to identify various aspects of the socio-economic adaptation of the population in the context of the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The tradition of phenomenological sociology, hermeneutics and narrative analysis are highlighted as a methodology for analyzing the content of in-depth interviews. The analysis of the content of the interviews made it possible to identify certain similarities and differences between the two groups of respondents, distinguished by the status of employment (employees and entrepreneurs) in terms of assessing the impact of the crisis on the situation of enterprises, business, features of socio-economic behavior, resources and adaptation practices. It is noted that in the context of the ongoing crisis, the features of the socio-economic adaptation of the population are associated not only with the status of employment, but also with the industry specifics, the presence of a formed portfolio of orders, the stability of the client base, and social capital. |
