Abstract

Various approaches to individual values concept are analyzed. Basing on neuroscience results, the individual values are interpreted as neural representations of generalized distinctive characteristics of the individual’s state and his micro- and macro-environment that gave him pleasure or satisfaction. The logical consequences of such an interpretation are analyzed. A detailed and formalized definition of individual values and its genesis processes are given.
