Abstract

Intensive growth of the number of users of social networks and the formation of a large number of online communities, what is happening in our country in the last decade, creates a necessary information base for sociological research of processes of communication in the Internet. A sociological study of the new communication environment involves the study of the regularities of its functioning, information and social capital, etc. The goal of this study is to search and systematize examples of the use of the Internet for self-organization of local communities and maintain communications between members of these communities.
