Time of bossa nova

The paper is dedicated to one of the brightest phenomena of the Brazilian culture — bossa nova, the 60th anniversary of which was celebrated in Brazil throughout 2018. The author analyzes this phenomenon in the context of the epoch of its inception, con-sidering its evolution from the moment of its origin to the present day. The musical characteristics of this style are presented, it tells about its creators and performers and how the celebration of the jubilee took place in the homeland of the boss.
