The Steps of Creation. Post-War Development of the Far East

The Far Eastern region in 1946s — 1960s passed through the recovery period of the transition from war to peace. The region was of strategic importance. The Soviet state made up for the shortage of labor resources in the Far East through forced migration, agricultural and industrial resettlement. The Far East experienced the progressive development of industry, agriculture, transport, construction, and the social sphere. In 1946—1960 became an important region of the country, which strengthened the position of the USSR in the Asia-Pacific region.
