Abstract

The article examines the methodological possibilities of digital transformation in actual historical research. In the context of trends in the datafication, the approach to historical sources as data is considered, with due regard to the distinction into human-readable and machine-readable. Standards for creating open linked data are presented as the main direction to integral interconnected data collections that can be reusable. Modern approaches to data analysis (CT, EDA, SNA) are described, which allow to take a new look at working with complex historical data (databases of structured and unstructured data). Thus, combining the technical principles of creating digital repositories and meaningful professional standards will guarantee stable results in the conditions of historical research datafication.
