Abstract

The article considers the question of the expediency of the "Philosophy of Law" in the educational process in the preparation of lawyers, given the rather strict regulations of the time allowed for their studies. Analyzing the textbook of the author's tandem of Professor I.I. Kalny and Professor S.G. Chukin, the author of the stated article in his reflections discovers the following advantages: the main philosophical question of law is formulated; the specifics of the philosophical and legal approach to the discourse of law as such are revealed; a thorough analysis of various aspects of its social existence is given; social norms are prescribed in the form of a hierarchical pyramid; analyzed the problem of legal consciousness; the role of law as a factor of social development is considered; the issues of legal culture and language are touched upon. He concludes that this textbook is not only necessary, but also necessary, because it raises and considers not only issues of law, but also human attitudes to it. Moreover, the textbook offers future jurists to choose philosophy in the hypostasis of ontology and methodology, epistemology and axiology as a reference point for mastering their profession.
