Abstract

The problem of understanding the unity and differentiation of legal science is one of the urgent problems facing jurisprudence. The relevance of this problem is due to the fact that the main object of the study of legal science is law, the raison d’être of which is that it is designed to regulate social relations. The purpose of the work is to study the features of legal science as a social phenomenon and to determine its features. Logical research methods were used as research methods: analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, abstraction, generalization, systems approach. In the course of the study, it was found that legal science is a specific area of human knowledge, the subject of which is the regularities of the formation, development and functioning of legal systems, their components and elements, which can be classified depending on the level of generalization into general, sectoral and institutional.
