Abstract

In the article analyzes the reasons for the failure of pension reforms in the Russian Federation pen-sion system, based on the principles of ethics of virtue and types of justice developed by Aristotle. It suggests that in the course of reforming of the pension system gradually ceased to be insurance at its core, transforming into a solidarity distribution system, and, in the words of Aristotle, egalitarian justice with its equivalence principle that initially was included in the mandatory pension insurance system has become in distributing justice, when the link between wages and pension payments have become less distinct
