Abstract

The article discusses the views of K. Popper on rationalism and irrationalism, their ability to be methods of knowledge and principles of social structure. His concept of norms and facts is revealed, and its significance for the justification of political ideals is shown. Popper's criticism of Platon's epistemology in connection with the political views of the ancient Greek philosopher is analyzed. Popper's views on the connection between the philosophy of history and totalitarianism are shown.
