Abstract

The article to consider the content of the characteristics that determine the form of government of the Russian state. Analyzing the practical implementation of constitutional norms, the authors investigate the legitimacy of the thesis about Russia’s transition from a presidential-parliamentary to a parliamentary-presidential republic. A conclusion was formulated about the actual strengthening of the role of the head of state in the sphere to formation and responsibility of the Government of the Russian Federation.
