On the legal possibility of reducing the level of social protection of Russian citizens

In the article, on the basis of the analysis of the decisions of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation, the question of the legal possibility of reducing the level of social protection of Russian citizens is considered and the provision on the permissible limits of changes in legal regulation in the social sphere is formulated, which is as follows: “The level of social protection achieved in the Russian Federation can not be reduced even if there is a discretionary power of the legislator to change the legal regulation in the social sphere”.
