Abstract | Even during the turbulence in international relations, the Eurasian Economic Union is expanding its international cooperation. On May 26 for the first time a representative of Moldova took part in the session of Board of Eurasian Economic Commission, and a little earlier in the Senate of Uzbekistan a decision was made to join the Union as an observer. The same wish was expressed again by Cuba. At the same time, according to information of Eurasian Economic Commission, negotiations on setting up free trade zones with Egypt and Israel continue. Zarema Shaukenova, Doctor of Sociology, Director of the Kazakhstan Institute of Strategic Studies under the President of Kazakhstan, told in her interview to "Eurasia.Expert" about how such cooperation and the prospects for expansion of the EAEC in Nur-Sultan are assessed. |
