Abstract

Several episodes of the on-going dialogue of philosophy and anthropology are considered in order to trace various modes of mutual influences among the representatives of these disciplines. The transition from the epistemological debates in the 1980s to the combined discussion of ontological and epistemological issues by some anthropologists in the 2010s is examined. The views of anthropologists actively engaged with philosophical theories, arguments and notions are analyzed.
