Abstract

Based on the information published in a number of primary documents (in particular, the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, the Program of International Scientific, Technical and Innovative Cooperation in 2006-2020, the 14th five-year Plan of Economic and Social development, etc.. The article analyzes the progress and results of the innovative development in China, as well as the goals and objectives of the country in this aspect until 2035. The author shows that China has been actively and consistently striving for an innovative breakthrough for decades as an opportunity to achieve leadership in the world economy, and has already recorded a number of achievements in this area. But the problem of China remains largely the continuing innovative and technological dependence on both Western countries and the Russian Federation. This is a serious deterrent for China - both in the technological and innovative spheres, as well as in the socio-economic system and foreign trade activities. At the same time, it is important for China to ensure sustainable and long-term development. In this regard, the main point of the state development programs in China is the task of becoming a "technologically self-sufficient" state, creating its own developments independently. To this end, China seeks to promote international scientific, technical and innovative cooperation as an equal, not a "junior" partner, as an innovator, not as an importer.
