ЭКОВАС и введение единой валюты в Западной Африке: проблемы и перспективы

В статье рассматривается проект создания общей валюты ЭКОВАС, его предпосылки, текущее состояние, проблемы и перспективы. Отмечается, что идея валютной интеграции обсуждается в Сообществе на протяжении более чем 30 лет, однако так и не была реализована. При этом внутри ЭКОВАС уже имеется экономический и валютный союз – ЮЭМОА со своей собственной валютой – франком КФА. Анализируется ситуация с реформой франка КФА, его переименованием в эко и позиций различных стран ЭКОВАС по этому вопросу. Особое внимание уделяется влиянию политической составляющей на валютную интеграцию.
