Египетские мотивы в декоре керамики Мероэ: проблема межцивилизационных влияний в материальной культуре древних обществ

Аннотация

Керамика древнесуданской цивилизации Мероэ (вторая половина VI в. до н.э. – середина IV в. н.э.) занимает особое место в мировой материальной и художественной культуре. Причина этого кроется прежде всего в характере декора мероитской керамики, выделяющего ее из группы гончарных изделий других древних цивилизаций. В орнаментации многих вещей встречаются хорошо известные египетские мотивы, заставлявшие исследователей видеть в этом подавляющее влияние цивилизации Древнего Египта. Данная статья посвящена выделению египетских мотивов в декоре керамики Мероэ и установлению степени воздействия Древнего Египта на мероитское гончарство и художественную культуру этой цивилизации.
