Аннотация

Данная статья посвящена военной организации ближневосточных провинций Римской империи в период правления Диоклетиана (284–305 гг.). На основании эпиграфических документов из Сирии, Аравии и Месопотамии, опубликованных в 1985–2015 гг., автор прослеживает, какие войсковые подразделения обороняли ближневосточную границу империи от персидских вторжений и в каких провинциях размещались эти подразделения. Особое внимание автор уделил новым подразделениям, которые Диоклетиан сформировал в период своего правления.
