ON OSIP MANDELSTAM’S POEM CHERNOZEM

The article offers the analysis of «Chernozem» («Humus»), a complex late-period poem by Osip Mandelstam. The author relies on the poet’s own opinion about «Chernozem», cited in the letter of S. B. Rudakov to his wife, and suggests that the poem should be read as a manifesto of the «New Acmeism», in which the stone is replaced by the Voronezh humus.
